MFI® System Cladding Support
Design Without Compromise—Anchored by Strength and Thermal Integrity
The MFI® System is a thermally isolated clip-and-rail support system engineered to dramatically reduce thermal bridging while supporting a wide variety of cladding assemblies. At the core of the system are Knight Wall Systems’ THERMABRACKET® and THERMASTOP® technology, which minimize heat transfer through the wall assembly while maintaining the strength and durability required for demanding façade applications.
Available in both S-Series fixed and D-Series adjustable configurations, the MFI® System can be tailored to meet a variety of project requirements. Continuous rails may be installed vertically or horizontally, allowing greater design flexibility while simplifying installation. The system is particularly well suited to renovation projects, uneven substrates and applications where thermal performance, façade alignment and 2024 IECC compliance are critical.

Questions About MFI® System?
Technical and installation guidance based on the supplied product content.
What is the difference between the S-Series and D-Series THERMABRACKETS?
The S-Series offers a static ¾-inch or 1-inch cavity depth outboard of the insulation. The D-Series offers a dynamic 1.5-inch cavity depth with up to ¾-inch adjustability.
How much adjustability does the D-Series THERMABRACKET have?
The D-Series THERMABRACKET has up to ¾ inch of adjustability, simplifying façade alignment on out-of-plumb walls.
What insulation types are compatible with the MFI System?
The MFI System is compatible with mineral wool and high-density mineral wool.
How much weight can the MFI System support?
The MFI System supports cladding weights up to 25 PSF.*
What materials can the MFI System be installed over?
The MFI System can be installed over steel studs, wood studs, CMU and concrete.
What gauges is the MFI System available in?
MFI rails are available in 18 GA or 16 GA American-made steel. All THERMABRACKETS are 14 GA.
What finishes are available for the MFI System?
The MFI System is available in ZM40 Zn-Al-Mg coated steel or 304 stainless steel, with a standard mill finish or Black PVDF finish.
Is the MFI System third-party verified, EPD documented and Red List Free?
Yes. EPDs and Declare labels are available in the Documents & Downloads gallery.
What warranty is included with the MFI System?
