THERMAZEE® was engineered to solve one of the biggest challenges associated with traditional Z-furring: thermal bridging. Using intermittent THERMASTOP® thermal isolators and a highly optimized web design, THERMAZEE® dramatically reduces heat flow through the support system while maintaining the strength, durability and installation simplicity contractors expect from traditional Z-furring. It improves overall wall assembly performance and supports compliance with the 2024 IECC.
Designed for versatility, THERMAZEE® can be installed vertically or horizontally and supports a wide range of cladding materials, including fiber cement, metal panels, HPL, ACM and more. Its highly perforated profile promotes drainage and ventilation within the rainscreen cavity, while pre-punched wall-anchor holes and integrated thermal isolation components simplify installation across multiple substrate types.
