THERMAZEE® was engineered to solve one of the biggest challenges associated with traditional Z-furring: thermal bridging. Using THERMASTOP® thermal isolators and a highly optimized web design, THERMAZEE® dramatically reduces heat flow through the support system while maintaining the strength, durability and installation simplicity contractors expect from traditional Z-furring. It improves overall wall assembly performance and supports compliance with the 2024 IECC.
Designed for versatility, THERMAZEE® can be installed vertically or horizontally and supports a wide range of cladding materials, including fiber cement, metal panels, HPL, ACM and more. Its highly perforated profile promotes drainage and ventilation within the rainscreen cavity, while pre-punched wall-anchor holes and integrated thermal isolation components simplify installation across multiple substrate types.

What warranty is included with THERMAZEE®?
THERMAZEE® is backed by a 10-year limited warranty when paired with Knight Wall Systems Project-Specific Engineering.
*Spacing of components varies by project based on project specific conditions. Maximum allowable spacing and dead load (weight of cladding) is based on the total load (dead + live) acting on the assembly and connections. Depending on the system, insulation thickness will influence the systems capacities
Wall anchors must be specified and supplied by KWS for an extended written limited warranty. KWS will specify the exact anchor type, embedment depth and spacing for anchors in project specific engineering packages. ThermaStop thermal isolation washers must be used on all types of wall anchors with the HCI or CI System, regardless of the substrate.
