PANELRAIL® and REVEALRAIL are perforated support rails designed to provide design flexibility across a wide range of cladding assemblies. Commonly used as a secondary layer of rails in Knight Wall Systems’ CI®, HCI, MFI® and THERMAZEE® systems, they accommodate varied panel layouts, attachment requirements and exterior wall cavity depths. They may also be installed directly over the substrate where exterior insulation is not required, creating a ventilated cavity that promotes drainage and drying behind the cladding.
Engineered with installers in mind, both rail profiles feature pre-punched wall-anchor holes that simplify installation over steel or wood studs with gypsum sheathing, CMU, concrete and structural sheathing. Their perforated design allows air and moisture to move freely through the assembly, supporting long-term envelope performance while reducing field labor and installation complexity.

What is the difference between PANELRAIL® and REVEALRAIL?
Both rails are used primarily as secondary support rails. PANELRAIL® is a hat-channel girt that can be used at cladding-panel edges and midspans; REVEALRAIL is used at panel joints.
How do PANELRAIL® and REVEALRAIL manage anchor holes?
Both profiles include pre-punched wall-anchor holes for installation efficiency.
